| A new type 230 (internal designation W_153) was presented on the Berlin Automobile Exhibition in 1939. Production had been taken up already in 1938. Its newly developed chassis - an X-shaped oval tubal frame like it is installed in the type 170_V - and its newly drawn bodywork served as the conceptional basis for the types 170_S and 220 ten years later. |
