| The type 290 superseded the type Mannheim in 1933. In the beginning its 2.9-litre six-cylinder engine did 60 hp, from 1935 onwards 65 hp. Like the smaller type 200 the type 290, too, was offered with two different wheel-bases. The Mercedes-Benz 290 (internal designation W_18) was constructed up to 1937. |
