Opis modelu: Types Nrburg 460 / 500, type 500 (W 08)
Apart from the used cars of the type Mannheim and Stuttgart a vehicle for higher demands was offered: the type Nrburg, originally a Porsche-design fundamentally revised by Hans Nibel. It was constructed from 1928 to 1933 and represented the first Daimler-Benz passenger car with an eight-cylinder engine. The series eight-cylinder with 4.6-litre displacement did 80 hp and allowed a top speed of 100 km/h - with an empty weight of more than 2 tons. It owes its name to a record-drive on the Nrburgring where it was driven for 13 days and covered a distance of 20,000 km. The successor, only slightly changed, was given the designation type 500 and was constructed up to 1939.
