| With its advanced technical concept the first Mercedes was the starting point of a whole model generation comprising motorized variations between 8 and 60 hp offered with different wheel bases and bodies. Due to their simple way of handling the models soon were given the designation "Mercedes-Simplex". The type-family was produced until 1905. |
